2011 Senior - Gina!

My second 2011 Senior... That's right... 2011! Time flies! I love it when Seniors get their pics taken before August! We have an AMAZING indoor studio but when students choose to have their photos taken in Spring or Summer then they have a variety of indoor/outdoor places to go, as opposed to in Winter.

Enjoy a few of Gina's pics. For the record, I only put a few pics up. I took over 80 images of her but I think it is ridiculous to post every image.

Boudoir Photography - The Amateur Scare

Great photographers take time to study the hottest trends, as well as other great photographers. Why? So that we can be better than the best! Well, at Timber Creek Photography we are constantly educating ourselves. We aren't amateurs with cameras, we are experienced professionals with flair! We want your portraits to look genuine and unposed, but we don't want them to be poor quality! That's why we study posing, lighting, crops and more. We have the highest quality photos because we take the time to be the best!

All of that being said, we have noticed a trend with amateur photographers. They seem to have finally picked up on Boudoir photography. All we can say is: DON'T GO TO JUST ANYONE for your boudoir photos!!! You don't have to come to us... just don't go to "them."

We have been investigating the amateurs' boudoir photos and we feel they should be embarassed by the lack of quality in their photos (and in their privacy). We have seen skinny women in boudoir photos made to look huge. And another photographer in our county posted her client's pics on the Internet, guarded by a password (The question was something like, "What is your middle name?"). We were able to guess at the password and see the woman's nearly-nude photos. We wonder who else was able to see them!!! How ridiculous!

Here at Timber Creek we only show the photos our clients allow us to show, or none at all. We have their signed, written permission before we put ANYTHING on the Internet (or anywhere else for that matter). Our customers work in high offices for the city, as well as in churches. Some own their businesses, others simply like their privacy... and we are not going to embarass them.

If you want excellent Boudoir photos (it sure is a hot trend!) then come to a professional... not an amateur.

Mauston High School Prom 2010

Yay! We got asked to do Mauston High School's Prom for 2010! That's two years in a row! We feel super honored and excited that the school loves us so much!

This year's Prom theme... A Walk In Central Park.

2010 Senior 3: Lacey

Lacey is just amazing. Very rarely do we get a girl that competes with the boys on edginess and serious photo poses. She nailed it. She can do the whole sweet, "girl-next-door" kind of thing and then she can get very dark... her photos were amazing... I wish I could post all 200 here.

2010 Senior 2: Jen

Jen was our second Senior! She is beautiful and wanted very soft, beautiful portraits to match her personality and style. She got them. Her portraits are very unique and there is nothing trashy about them.

2010 Senior : Kyle

Kyle was our first Senior this year. He wanted edgy, serious, and different... I think we captured that. He came with his guitar and, because of our June deal (free location), we were able to go all over to take his pictures, some were taken on the rooftops of buildings, others in grafitti alleys, still others in old churches...

If you are getting photos taken for your husband, wear naughty lingerie or his football jersey or even his tool belt.
If you are coming in to celebrate with a bachelorette party you should consider a theme (Naughty School Girls, Toga).
If you are coming for Valentine's you might want to wrap yourself in a big bow and red and pink. If you are coming for Christmas you could bring a fuzzy nightie and a santa hat... the possibilites are endless.
Women in the past have worn: santa costumes, army gear, fishing poles, hunting bows and camo coats, jerseys, tool belts, bath robes, high heels, sheer sheets, his favorite shirt, swimwear... They have also brought unique props & foods (strawberries, fudge, whipped cream).
